-WEGE-
DISCUSSION
A ground water contour map was developed using the current well
data and indicates an apparent flow direction to the northeast.
This flow direction coincides with the flow directions noted in
earlier reports presented by WEGE, see FIGURES 4A thru 41.
The analytical laboratory results indicate that TPH (Gasoline
range) and BTEX (Volitile Aromatic Hydrocarbons) concentrations
in HW1, MW2 and MW3 are non detect (PID) .
With these factors in mind (non detect TPH & BTEX on this
sampling period and below reportable limits (BRL) for MW1, KW2 and
MW3 on previous samplings) "site closure" should be considered at
this time. The analytical. results are presented in SIEGE: TABLE 2,
and the laboratory report is included in Appendix A.
CONCLUSIONS
1. The ground water flow direction is presently in
a northeasterly direction.
2. Laboratory analysis was non detect on TPH & BTEX for MW1, MW2
and MW3.
1.
RECOMMENDATIONS
1. Based upon the above conclusions this site should be
considered as "closed" for DESERT PETROLEUM.
2. Once site closure is granted, the existing onsite monitor
wells should be destroyed, to prevent any risk to the ground
water from ongoing retail of gasoline at the present service
station facility on site.
LIMITATIONS
The discussion and conclusions presented in this report are based
---- --- —.-------
1. The observations and data collected by field personnel.
2
