GeoStrategies <br /> THIRD.QUARTER 1997.STATUS REPORT . <br /> at <br /> Former Discovery Chevrolet <br /> 1615 1 Vh Street <br /> Tracy, California <br /> Report No. 8146.04-3` <br /> INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Ms. Michelle Nokes of Winner Ford, GeoStrategies (GSI) has prepared this <br /> Third Quarter 1997 Status Report that summarizes the results of the third quarter 1997 <br /> groundwater monitoring and sampling at the above referenced site. . .Objectives of the <br /> quarterly groundwater monitoring and .sampling are to evaluate changes in groundwater <br /> levels 'and changes in dissolved petroleum, hydrocarbon ,concentrations in the shallow <br /> groundwater beneath the site. Field work conducted at' the subject site during this quarter <br /> was performed by Gettler-Ryan Inc. (GR) of Dublin, California. <br /> The scope of work described in this report is intended to comply with the State of California <br /> Water Resources Control Board's Leaking Underground Fuel Tanks (LUFT) Manual, the <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board's Tri-Regional Board Staff`'Recommendations for <br /> Preliminary 1'nvestigatiori and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites, and San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Division (SJCEHD)-guidelines. <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> The subject site is located adjacent to the Southern Pacific Railroad tracks west of the <br /> intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and West Eleventh Street in Tracy, California (Figure 1). <br /> The site vicinity is relatively flat, and is situated at approximately 45 feet above mean sea <br /> level (MSL). The Lower Main Canalis located approximately 0.2 miles south of the .site. <br /> Discovery Chevrolet formerly occupied the site. At that time; two gasoline underground <br /> storage tanks (USTs) were located in a common excavation east of the service bays and north <br /> of the showroom, and one waste oil.UST was-located southwest of the service bays and west <br /> of the showroom (Figure 2).
