Chevron Products Company �'� Page 2 Chevron Station#20.1383 1960 West 11"Street Tmcy Cal;fomia August 9 2001 PROPOSED SCOPE OF WORK The scope of work proposed for this site assessment includes the advancement of six Geoprobe soil borings to collect groundwater samples. The specific scope of work is as follows: • Geoprobe Borings. Six Geoprobe borings will be advanced in the general locations show in n Figure 2. These borings will be advanced to approximately Meet bgs. A hydropunch or similar technology will be used to collect groundwater samples from each location. • Permitting. The applicable permits for the soil borings will be obtained from San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS) and the City of Tracy prior to drilling. • Groundwater Sample Analysis. Groundwater samples will be sent under chain-of-custody protocol to a California State-certified laboratory. Samples will be analyzed for TPHg using EPA Method 8015 and for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX) and the fuel oxygenates methyl tertiary-butyl ether(MtBE), di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether(EtBE), ethylene dibromide (EDB), tertiary-amyl methyl ether(TAME), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), 1,2 dichloroethane (1,2-DCA), methanol, and ethanol using EPA Method 8260B. • Report. A report will be prepared after completion of fieldwork and receipt of laboratory analytical reports. The report will include groundwater analytical results,chain-of-custody documentation, and conclusions. Field and laboratory procedures are presented as Attachment B. SCHEDULE Figure 3 illustrates the proposed schedule of the work described above.
