None of.these wells are
currently in the downgradient direction from the UNOCAL facility. Analyses of
groundwater from WeII WSW-1 suggests that WSW 1 has not been impacted by `.
hydrocarbons.
The highest hydrocarbon concentrations in the soils (1,800 ppm TPH gasoline,710 ppm
TPH diesel) are at the 5-foot depth sample from Boring U-1 which is Iocated adjacent
5 to the above-ground storage tanks. Hydrocarbon concentrations in the vicinity of U-2
were also found to be highest at the 5 foot depth(1,200 ppm TPH gasoline,5 ppm TPH
diesel). These concentrations in each boring attenuated to low or non-detectable levels
in the 10-foot sample, which is below groundwater.
The highest hydrocarbon concentrations in the groundwater were found in the sample -
collected from Well U-2 (670 ppb TPH gasoline) located within 10 feet of the former
transmission fluid tank. The groundwater sxrnple collected from Well U-1, which is i.
ned 140 b TPH gasoline.
located adjacent to the above-ground tank complex, contai pp
The'lack of;sydrocarbons"ixa the gioundtvater sampYe collected from Well U-3 defines
thed6 it of dissolved hydrocarbons east of the'transmission fluid tank and associated
pipMg _
f ,
i
3100101/REPORT 7 Februar;13,1991
