f <br /> 2. The project site is located in a FEMA floodway on panel 060299 0004, <br /> July 4,1988. <br /> 3. A detention pond/terminal drainage system shall be provided to meet the <br /> requirements of the County and to provide adequate drainage for the <br /> development. Hydrologic and hydraulic analyses shall demonstrate that all <br /> property,both downstream and upstream of the discharge,will not be subject to <br /> a higher flood level as a result of the proposed drainage. (Development Title <br /> Section 9-1135.2) <br /> 4. Flood Hazard reduction: Uses and structures within Floodways. Uses and <br /> structures shall be subject to the following flood hazard reduction. standards: <br /> I� (a) Anchoring. All structures within floodways shall be constructed so as to <br /> remain during the one hundred(100) year flood, except those subject to an <br /> Evacuation plan as specified in Chapter 9-845. <br /> (b) Obstruction of the Floodway. All structures shall be designed to allow <br /> free passage of floodwaters and minimize catching of debris. <br /> (g) Encroachments Any encroachments, including fill, new construction, <br /> substantial improvements, and other development shall be prohibited <br /> unless certification is provided by a registered civil engineer demonstration <br /> that encroachments will jot result in any increase in flood levels during the <br /> occurrence of the one hundred (100) year flood discharge. <br /> (Development Title Section 9-1605.16) <br /> 5. The expansion of the lake shall meet the following requirements: <br /> (b) Structures Prohibited Within Floodways. All Structures are prohibited <br /> within floodways, except that the structures listed below are allowed, if <br /> certification by a registered civil engineer demonstrating that <br /> encroachments will not result in any increase in flood levels during the <br /> occurrence of the one hundred(100) year flood discharge and all other <br /> Floodplain Management provisions are satisfied. <br /> (1) Pumps, siphons, and appurtenances; <br /> (2)Fences, walls, signs, and other appurtenances; <br /> (3) Public and private docks, wharves, piers and boat launching <br /> Ramps; <br /> (4)Marinas, including ramps, gas pumps of docks, and other <br /> structures which must be located on , above, or immediately <br /> adjacent to watercourse, provided there is no alternative to <br /> location in a floodway; <br /> (5) Pilings and other support structures; <br /> (6) Railroads, pipelines, utility lines, and public improvements such <br /> as roads and streets; and <br /> (7) Bridges. <br /> (Development Title section 9-1605.17 (b)) <br /> 6. All structures and fill placed in any 100 year flood zone, or Floodway shall <br /> meet the requirements of ASCE 24-05. <br /> Recommendations: <br />
