APN # : 013-210-06
OWNER : George Simpfenderfer
3376 East Acampo Road
SEPTIC : System constructed in 1962 . No problems with
leach area . Estimated 55± feet to ground water .
APN # : 013-210-43
OWNER: David Lind
4140 East Acampo Road
SEPTIC: Leach lines replaced 13 years ago, with no
problems encountered . Original leach area is now
45 years old . He estimated depth to groundwater
at 60 to 70 feet .
Refer to Exhibits 2 and 3 for locations of above referenced
parcels .
GROUND WATER
The agriculture well for the subject property was sounded
on 1/20/92 , with the depth to ground water found to be 60
feet . The drilling log for this property (dated 3/17/79 )
notes the depth to water as 60 feet . See Exhibit 4 .
From the San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water
Conservation District, Ground Water Report , Spring 1991 , we
find that the ground water depth is 60 feet and that the
water gradient is approximately 5 fleet per mile, falling in
a northeasterly direction . See Exhibits 5 and 6. This
information is consistent with the conditions found at the
site and the neighbors comments.
WATER TESTING
The owner contracted with FGL Environmental to collect
samples and test for Nitrates and DHCP . The results are
attached as Exhibit 7 .
SOILS AND PERCOLATION TESTS
The "Soils of San Joaquin County , California" , as published
by the University of California indicates the predominant
soil type in the area is Hanford Sandy Loam. The material
encountered in digging the two 8 inch diameter by 3 feet
deep percolation test holes was a brownish sandy loam with
some clays . The drilling log ( Exhibit 4 ) also indicates
some clay .
