STocKTON METROPOLTFAN AIRPORT SPEaAL PURPOSE PLAN -AIR METRO PARK ADDENDUM <br /> RECOMMENDED CIRCULATION IMPROVEMENTS <br /> The Air Metro Park addendum to Stockton <br /> Metropolitan Airport Special Purpose Plan recom- <br /> mends the following circulation improvements for <br /> the area: <br /> Northrup Street <br /> Northrup Street is currently an unpaved gravel road <br /> passing between a collection of poor quality build- <br /> ings. <br /> In order to realize this corridor's potential for new <br /> infill and redevelopment, it is recommended that <br /> Northrup Street be rebuilt and improved with <br /> street curbs, street paving, and all necessary utility <br /> and drainage facilities. <br /> Lockheed Street <br /> Lockheed Street currently dead-ends just south of <br /> C.E. Dixon Street (at the intersection with <br /> Northrup Street). <br /> In order to allow full build-out of the major unde- <br /> veloped portion of Air Metro Park(the area extend- <br /> ing between Boeing and Northrup Streets),it is rec- <br /> ommended that Lockheed Street be extended <br /> south and connected to Longe Street. The extend- <br /> ed section of Lockheed Street should be construct- <br /> ed with street curbs,street paving,and all necessary <br /> utility and drainage facilities. <br /> New Internal Street <br /> A recommended, but optional street improvement <br /> is a new internal street that would be constructed <br /> between the Lockheed Street extension and <br /> Boeing/Stimson Street. This envisioned new inter- <br /> nal street would allow for an improved circulation <br /> flow for vehicles wishing to connect to Airport Way <br /> via Boeing/Stimson Street. <br /> 4-4 CIRCULATION <br />
