f
■ Airport Access Plan,
■ Airport and Runway Protection Zone Plan and Profile, and
■ Safety Zone Plan.
The Master Plan defines areas for airport facilities, commercial and industrial uses, and
airport-related commercial uses. The Master Plan includes a conceptual airport layout plan
. A (Figure 3-4) that identifies locations of these facilities and uses. Activities that would occur under
implementation of the Master Plan include:
■ runway and taxiway extension and rehabilitation (GA Runway 11R-29L would be
modified to allow parallel approaches by lengthening the runway from 3,050 to 6,000
feet and adding a 1,000-foot stopway at each end of the primary runway,);
■ aircraft parking apron expansion and rehabilitation;
■ aircraft storage building expansion and rehabilitation;
■ airport terminal building, apron, roadway, and parking relocation and/or rehabilitation;
0 air cargo and aircraft maintenance facility expansion, relocation and/or rehabilitation;
■ grading and construction of drainage, road, and utility (e.g.,water, sewer, gas,electrical,
and communication) facilities;
■ relocation of Airport Surveillance Radar(ASR);
' ■ construction of commercial and industrial land use areas;
■ construction of access to Airport East Property; and
r
■ construction of a series of detention basins and ponds that are proposed to limit
r stormwater runoff from the airport, as shown in Figure 3-5.
As indicated in Figure 3-4, one of the future detention basins and associated ditches would
be constructed within the Stockton city limits. This pond and all project-related storm utility
facilities constructed within the Stockton city limits will be designed and constructed to comply with
City of Stockton and San Joaquin County design standards and will be approved by the city engineer
or the director of Municipal Utilities and the County's Department of Public Works.
Proposed Airport Operations
The Master Plan projects airport activity to the year 2015. The impact assessments contained
in this E1R are based on projected airport activity and development that would occur with
Stockton Metropolitan Airport Project Chapter 3.
