Domestic water for the airport was previously supplied by an airport system through
which'the water was obtained from three wells on the airport and stored in an elevated tank. The elevated tank has been removed and one water
well has been capped. The two remaining wells are currently looped in service with two existing
wells north of Arch-Airport Road.
Water is currently available to the airport terminal and fixed base operator plots and to the
f Air Metro Industrial Park, on the southwestern portion of the airport. Water for Farmington Fresh
Ioperations on the northeasterly part of the airport is provided by its own dedicated well. 'Major water
mains are stubbed to Arch-Airport Road on the north side of the airport. The commercial/industrial
' area and future terminal area on the north side of the airport will be served from these facilities.
Appendix F provides additional information provided by John Carlson of the City of Stockton
` on domestic water supply service in the City of Stockton. This information has been provided for
general reference. The terms of the Southern Water System Operation & Maintenance (SWSOM
agreement ratified by the City of Stockton and the County in June 1989 and amended in June 1992
will govern how water is supplied to the project site.
Wastewater Treatment. The airport originally had a small sewage treatment plant onsite,
and sewer lines are in place for the terminal building, the fixed base.operator buildings, and the Air
Metro Industrial Park. In accordance with City and County agreements dated May 1975 and May
9, 1978, Tthe City of Stockton has eonfraeted with the airpo currently provides and will continue
to provide wastewater treatment for the airport property.
Solid Waste. Solid waste generated at the project site is currently disposed of at sanitary
land fills (Foothill Sanitary Land Fill east of Linden and North County Land Fill east of Lodi)
operated by the County. These landfills have the capacity to handle all solid waste generated by the
County through 2050 {Reinard W. Brandley, Consulting Airport Engineer 1997). Two additional
land fills are located east of the airport; one is operated by the City of Stockton and the other is
operated by a private company.
Natural Gas.
