i
2. General Aviation Apron
All of the general aviation apron, except for the easterly 1,100 feet by 400 feet,
has been reconstructed under recent programs and from a structural standpoint will
provide a 20-year life without further overlays. These aprons will require slurry i
seals and/or maintenance overlays within 10 to 12 years. The easterly section of
apron is rapidly deteriorating, is badly cracked, and has very poor drainage. This
apron should be reconstructed as soon as funds become available.
" 3. Forest Service Apron
The Forest Service Apron has recently been reconstructed and has adequate section
to support proposed loadings for a 20-year life. A maintenance slurry seal and/or
overlay of this apron should be programmed in 10 to 12 years.
4. Business Jet Apron S anos Jet Center
This apron is in good condition and.has adequate pavement section to provide a
20-year life with forecast loadings. Maintenance slurry seals or overlays should
be planned within a 10 to 12 year period.
` 5. Cargo Apron
The cargo apron at the Farmington Fresh facility should be extended 400 feet by
800 feet as soon as funds become available in order to allow expanded operations
of;the Farmington Fresh and additional air cargo facilities in this area.
D. Miscellaneous
Items
The wetlands program requires mitigation work on Webers Slough and relocation or
removal of two seasonal swales. This work should be accomplished as early as possible
after U.S. Army Corps of Engineers requirements have been determined.
f '
Other items that are required for operation at the airport include:
• 250 kVA Emergency Generator
• Upgrade Switchgear
• Disabled Passenger Lift to be utilized with commuter-type aircraft
0 Handicap Elevator to be installed in the Airline Terminal Building
• Reconstruction and.Widening of Lindbergh Street.
All of these items are desirable and should be constructed as funds become available.
F
6-3
