This zoning designation "is established to <br /> preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> Present and Past Uses of the Site <br /> Per conversation with Mike Stonum, the Site has been in the family for many years and <br /> has been operated as a vineyard. <br /> Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> ✓ The existing residence has a septic system composed of a 1,600 gallon tank, two lines, <br /> and two sumps. The lines are 40 feet and 100 feet in length; each terminates in a <br /> sump. <br /> Proposed Septic System <br /> /According to the proposed site plan, the new winery building will utilize a new septic <br /> system for a small restroom <br /> On-Site Septic Permit History <br /> ✓Two septic system repair permits were found for the on-Site residence during file review <br /> at the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department. In December 1988 a <br /> new system was installed to replace an existing septic system. The new system is <br /> composed of a 1600 gallon tank, D-box, 100 feet of leach line, and a 2 x 10 x 15 foot <br /> sump. In 2004, an additional 40-foot line and identical sump were added. <br /> Other permits for water wells were also identified for the property. No permits for new <br /> septic system installation were identified. All permits for the property are attached in <br /> Appendix 5. <br /> / Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity <br /> !/ To determine the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic <br /> systems that exist approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Air photo <br /> imagery from GoogleEarthTm was used. Each building cluster on the photo was <br /> assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, we determined that there are a <br /> minimum of 15 septic systems per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the Site. <br /> The general area consists of vineyards and farmland with residential structures and out <br /> buildings. <br /> LOGE0911 Page 2 <br />
