LOGE 1516: Stonum Vineyards NLS Addendum Page 3
August 11, 2015
Table 1. Rainfall
average from station 045032 (Lodi, CA) at www.wrcc.dri.edu. Closest available stations to Site were selected.
The nitrate concentration of rainfall was estimated to be 1 mg/L-N (Hantzsche and Finnemore,
1992).
Quantity and Quality of Domestic Wastewater
The winery will operate from April to December each year. Two employees will work a 5-day
workweek April through December. The winery will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
during this time period. Four (4) marketing events will occur per year. At each marketing event,
up to 50 persons may attend. The nitrate as nitrogen (N) concentration of these uses is
estimated to be 85 mg/L (Crites and Tchobanoglous, 1998).
A small catering kitchen is to be constructed at the tasting room, and will be used for
wine club events only. The seating capacity of the tasting room is 50; therefore, it is
assumed that up to 50 persons may attend. An annual wine club event will take place in
the tasting room. Other private wine tasting events for club members will take place
periodically; currently these events take place approximately once a month. Because the
kitchen usage includes a considerable contribution from dish washing, its nitrate as N
concentration is estimated to be 35 mg/L, the typical concentration of mixed-source,
untreated domestic wastewater(Crites and Tchobanoglous, 1998). No additional staff
members are anticipated for the wine club events.
