July 18,2017 <br /> ' SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> 12401, 12420 AND 12430 E.ATKINSON ROAD <br /> ' LODI,CALIFORNIA <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Petralogix Engineering, Inc. has been retained by Ms. Terri Juffali et al. to conduct a Soil Suitability <br /> Study(SSS)forthe properties located at 12401,12420 and 12430 E.Atkinson Road,Lodi,San Joaquin <br /> County, California. The site assessor parcel numbers (APNs) are 063-230-29 and 063-230-36. <br /> Proposed"development"consists of the proposed merger of the existing two parcels in order <br /> to split into three separate parcels and subsequent new parcel boundaries. The parcel <br /> merge and split" is considered a minor subdivision per the Environmental Health <br /> Department and as such, is subject to the submission of a Soil Suitability Study (SSS). <br /> The purpose of this SSS is to determine whether the soils for each proposed parcel are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system.The study was conducted in accordance With the requirements of Section <br /> 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development Code.An important element of an SSS consists <br /> ' of conducting percolation tests to determine if soils meet the required absorption rates,as required <br /> by the San Joaquin County, Public Health Services,and Environmental Health Department(EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests,a review of geologic maps,published soil information, <br /> and groundwater information, was utilized to evaluate the suitability of soils for use with a septic <br /> system. <br /> This report has been formatted to correspond with the Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist <br /> of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) dated July 14, 2003. <br /> 1.1 Description of Site <br /> The properties are located at 14201 E. Atkinson Road (APN: 063-230-29); 12420 & 14230 E. <br /> Atkinson Road (APN: 063-230-36); Lodi,County of San Joaquin,California. The property consists of <br /> two parcels totaling 17.19 acres. The northern parcel, site address 124201 E. Atkinson Road (APN <br /> 063-230-29)on the north side of E.Atkinson Road has a single-family residence and detached garage. <br /> ' South Paddy Creek trends east-west in the very upper portion of the northern parcel. The northern <br /> parcel is 12.72 acres.The southern parcel (063-230-36),has two site addresses: 12420 and 12430 E. <br /> Atkinson Road, both directly south of the northern parcel,and south of E.Atkinson Road. 12420 E. <br /> ' Atkinson has a single-family home with attached garage. 12430 E.Atkinson Road has a single-family <br /> home and detached garage.The southern property(12420 and 12430 E.Atkinson Road)is 4.47 acres. <br /> ' The elevation at the Site,according to a United States Geological Survey', is between approximately <br /> 70 and 75 feet above mean sea level (msl).
