Landfill Expansion Project MMRP <br /> operations and fire suppression measures at the proposed expanded landfill to the Lathrop- <br /> Manteca Fire District. <br /> Existing fire protection facilities will be maintained(see also Impact/Mitigation Measure <br /> E.1). <br /> 102. (1.3)Proposed as Part of the Project: <br /> The project sponsor will continue to apply,to the entire consolidated landfill,the safety <br /> procedures currently employed at the existing Forward Landfill and described in the <br /> Workplace Injury and Illness Prevention Plan. The project sponsor will furnish information <br /> regarding proposed disposal operations and safety procedures at the Austin Road Landfill, <br /> and the proposed consolidated landfill,to the Lathrop-Manteca Fire District. (� <br /> Monthly inspections of all facilities for safety will be conducted in accordance with the <br /> Safety Checklist prepared by the National Solid Waste Management Association(NSWMA) <br /> or other checklist of equivalent scope and detail. <br /> Safety meetings with employees will be conducted to disseminate safety information, in <br /> accordance with procedures described in the JTD. <br /> Personal protective gear will be provided for the safe handling of solid waste,as described in <br /> the JTD. <br /> 103. (I.4)Proposed as Part of the Project: <br /> If leachate is delivered to the City of Stockton Regional Wastewater Control Facility,the <br /> project sponsor will provide for independently corroborated test results to the City to <br /> demonstrate the chemical composition of the leachate extracted from the proposed <br /> consolidated landfill project. Monitoring and testing of landfill-generated leachate will meet <br /> the requirements of the City of Stockton Wastewater Ordinance and the City Municipal <br /> Utilities Department. <br /> If leachate quality is not acceptable for disposal at the Regional Wastewater Control Facility, <br /> the project sponsor will either have the leachate collected and disposed off-site by a licensed <br /> Treatment and Disposal Facility,or will develop on-site leachate processing that will result in <br /> treated leachate that is acceptable for disposal at the wastewater treatment plant or acceptable <br /> to regulatory agencies for on-site use. The design and operation of any on-site leachate <br /> processing that is implemented will comply with all applicable laws and regulations. <br /> J. CULTURAL RESOURCES <br /> 104. (11) Identified in this EIR: <br /> An archaeological monitor shall be retained to observe the excavation of the new creek <br /> channel along the southern border of the parcel in order to identify potentially buried <br /> resources. In the event that any of the archaeological site indicators described above are <br /> found,work should be halted within a zone established by the project archaeologist until a <br /> plan for the evaluation of the resource under CEQA guidelines has been submitted to the <br /> appropriate permitting agency for approval. <br /> If any potential cultural resources are encountered during the creek relocation excavation,the <br /> following measures shall be implemented: <br /> Page 40 <br />
