Page 4 of 9 Our Project Number: LES090508 February 24, 2009 Ms. Katzakian did not indicate whether there were transformers or capacitors on the property known to contain PCBs (polychlorinated biphenyls) or which may have been manufactured before 1980 and whose PCB content is unknown. Ms. Katzakian indicated water is provided to the property by a well. She indicated waste water disposal is provided via an onsite septic system. She also indicated wastewaters, liquid wastes and solid wastes are not generated on the property. She indicated farming activities only may generate air pollutants on the property. Ms. Katzakian indicated there is one residence under construction on the property. She indicated the residence will be heated and cooled with central heat and air and a wood burning fireplace. She described the property as approximately forty eight acres of Eureka walnuts. To t' the best of her knowledge, Ms. Katzakian indicated there has not been any flooring, drains or walls located within the facilities that are stained by substances other than water or are ? emitting foul odors. Ms. Katzakian indicated to the best of her knowledge there are no storage tanks and other chemical storage on the property currently or in the past. She was not aware of any spills, leaks or chemical releases on the property. She indicated the property has not been used for industrial purposes. She indicated the property is and has been used for agricultural purposes. She indicated pesticides have been applied to the property but have not been mixed, rinsed, disposed or formulated on the property. She was not aware of soil or groundwater analysis performed on the property to detect chemicals. 3.0 PAST AND CURRENT SOURCES OF CONTAMINATION 3.1 Research Methods NOA employs a standard practice for review of database information. On a street map showing the location of the subject property, a circle is drawn one-quarter mile out from the property boundaries, and street maps or web-based mapping services are then used to determine address ranges for all streets within the quarter mile. All agency databases searchable by address are then searched for these address ranges. 3.1.1 Regional Water Quality Control Board NOA reviewed the Water Purveyors Quarterly Report on MTBE(January 2009) and the Spills, Leaks, Investigations, and Cleanups(SLIC) list (1't Quarter 2005) on file with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB)4 in an attempt to determine if there are any files present at that agency which note the unauthorized release of a toxic or hazardous agent into the environment on the subject property or within a one-quarter mile radius of the subject property. NOA also reviewed the State of California Geotracker websites for Leaking Underground Storage Tanks (LUST).
