e _J <br /> SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc (Live Oak) was contracted by Hal Robertson to <br /> conduct a Soil Suitability Study for the for the Robertson property located at 27337 <br /> South Banta Road, Tracy, California (Plate 1). ` <br /> The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil <br /> Suitability Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br /> use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code- <br /> Proposed Development <br /> he ro osed project is a minor s} division consisting of 5.00- re Parcel 1 and a <br /> 35.21- cre designated remainde . Anew home may be la an the Site at some <br /> poi n the future. The land uses will otherwise remain unchanged. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is 42.04 acres in size and consists of two parcels, Assessor's Parcel Numbers <br /> (APNs) 252-090-17 and -18. The County project application number has not yet been <br /> assigned. The project was previously a lot line adjustment followed by the proposed <br /> minor subdivision described here. The Site is currently agricultural land with a <br /> residence, a shop building, an agricultural storage building, and associated smaller <br /> structures (Plate 2). The land is planted with alfalfa. One domestic water well and one <br /> septic system serve the needs of the residence. A recent aerial photograph of the Site <br /> is included as Plate 3. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 78 to 93 feet above mean sea level. The ground surface in the <br /> area slopes downward gently toward the northeast (Plate 4). <br /> The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the <br /> Site is zoned AG-40, general agriculture with a minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This <br /> .zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the continuation of <br /> commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> LOGE0916 Page 1 <br />
