• CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
In summary, the soil conditions in the percolation test locations appear to be suitable for
use with on-site septic systems. Satisfactory soil percolation rates of 16.7, 16.7, and 25
min/in were observed in the test locations.
The depth of ground water based on recent aquifer levels is estimated to range between
112 to 142 feet below ground surface. The ground-water flow is to the west or
northwest at a rate of approximately eight to 10 feet per mile.
A water sample was collected from the domestic water well in August 2017. A second
water sample was collected from the same well in May 2018. Nitrate was detected in
the first sample at a concentration of 12.0 mg/L-N, slightly above the MCL of 10 mg/L-N.
DBCP was not detected in the sample. Nitrate was detected in the second sample at a
concentration of 6.8 mg/L-N, well below the MCL.
We believe the Site suitable for the use of standard septic systems utilizing leach lines
and seepage pits. No new construction is anticipated.
•
•
LOGE 1826 Page 9
