J '
Surface and Subsurface Contamination Report---------APN: 209—310-30.----Parcel Nos. 1 and 2
This soil has good surface and imperfect subsurface permeability and is dark gray in
color. Erosion is negligible and the soil lies on a nearly level slope less than 2% slope.
P_escadero Clay
The surface soil is dark gray in color and black when wet. The soil contains clay,
which breaks into large, hard dense blocks when dry. This soil does not exhibit the adobe
structure characteristics of many clays. The surface layer is composed of 16.76% sand,
31.63 % silt and 52.61% clay, half of which is less than one micron in diameter and has
pH=7.3.
The upper subsoil, which is encountered at about a 12"depth, is very dark
colored, heavily textured and dense, breaking into large blocks by vertical cracking.
j There are streaks of segregated lime throughout this area. The pH=8.0.
The middle subsoil is gray clay with cloddy structure, colloidal staining and
increasing lime.
The lower subsoil is lightly colored, contains more lime and is less dense.
The substratum which is encountered at about 56" is light,yellowish-brown,
calcarious and friable.
Drainage is poor in both surface and subsoil,
This soil occurs only between the southern pacific railroad tracks and Old River,
northwest of Tracy. Because of the poor drainage and salt content, this soil has a very
poor grazing value.
This soil experiences negligible erosion and has good surface and imperfect
subsurface permeability and a Storie Index rating of 31.
The University of California publication entitled"Soils of San Joaquin County,
California,United States Department of Agricultural Soil Conservation Service", issued
October 1992, lists three soil series that may be encountered on the subject property. The
three series listed are Willows ,Egbert and Dello.
The types of the soil to be encountered at various depths below the ground surface
are as follows:
Egbert Dello Willow
Depth De th Denth
In Inches) Soil Tyue In Inches) Soil Tyye In Inches Soil !We
0" to 8" Mucky Clay Loam 0" to 10" Loamy sand 0" to 20"
8" to 19" SiltyClay Loam 10"to 60" Sand,Fine sand 20"to 60"
Clay Loam, Clay
19"to 60" Silty Clay Loam
Clay Loam, Clay
RP.11P.R CnnrPc 16147 Wact RPthanv Rnwi Trary ("A 95376-7111 Phnnp• (7.()91 R15—Rfl'%o 6
