She currently prepares Environmental Impact Reports (Staff Assessments) <br /> and other environmental documents in compliance with the CEQAA and NEPA <br /> . She also possesses University- <br /> level <br /> niver it -level <br /> teaching experience in diverse areas of ecology and developmental biology and has gained recent <br /> experience working on wetland restoration projects, flood plain projects, and programmatic Environmental <br /> F3; Impact Reports. <br /> Relevant Project Experience C <br /> FCalifornia Energy Commission (CEC). 'Provided CEQA-equivalent environmental review of.the <br /> biological impacts of proposed large energy projects. Provided compliance review and monitoring of <br /> approved energy projects and worked closely with CEC management and technical staff as well as <br /> F," federal and State agencies. An integral aspect of work has included participation in public CEC site <br /> visits, workshops, hearings,` as well as small technical working 'groups. Working on siting <br /> i <br /> environmental review regarding the biological impacts of the following energy projects including <br /> associated gas and water supply pipelines and transmission lines: <br /> k <br /> Morro Bay Power Plant Modernization Project, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo County. Marine impacts i <br /> were analyzed due to the applicant's proposed use of a once-through cooling system (Clean Water <br /> Fji' <br /> Act 316a and 316 b studies) and included analysis of impacts to Essential Fish Habitat and fish and <br /> invertebrate populations in Morro Bay. Terrestrial impacts included loss of habitats for species such <br /> as the Morro shoulderband snail, California red-legged frog, silvery legless lizard, burrowing owl, <br /> F1 <br /> and Morro blue butterfly, i <br /> l <br /> Ocotillo Energy Center, North Palm Springs, Coachella Valley. Project involved adverse direct and <br /> indirect impacts to sensitive Mojave desert plant and animal communities, including designated <br /> { critical habitat of the desert tortoise. Indirect impacts of air pollution to desert plant communities and ' <br /> 1 <br /> I { <br /> regional national forests and parks were primary concerns. i <br /> i ■ -East Altamont Energy Center, Alameda County, San Joaquin Valley. Biological issues included habitat <br /> loss and degradation impacting San Joaquin kit fox, California red-legged frog; California tiger <br /> salamander, Swainson's hawk, and burrowing owl as well as potential impacts of freshwater j <br /> PFi <br /> diversions to Delta fish. ; <br /> 1 <br /> Tesla Power Project, Alameda County. San Joaquin Valley. Biological issues focused on habitat <br /> I'4 <br /> FJ' <br /> losses for listed San Joaquin kit fox, California red-legged frog, California tiger salamander, <br /> Swainson's hawk, and burrowing owl.
