The 100-year Flood Elevation will be <br /> approximately 10 feet NGVD, which means-the Building and the Packaging Plant will either <br /> have to be.raised 6 feet or they will need to flood protect it. Mr. Karam indicated that the <br /> applicants may want to talk to the Public Works Department Fiood Engineer (Mike Callahan <br /> (209) 468-3000) about flood proofing a building. Mr. Neely indicated that the Department of <br /> Public Works is concerned about the fuel tanks floating in the event of a flood. <br /> Mr. Karam indicated that they would discuss the drainage and sewage issue at another time at <br /> the Public Works Department. <br /> Mr. Stupi asked if the Irrigation District would allow their drainage to drain into the canal. <br /> Mr. Karam and Mr. Borges indicated that in some.cases they do but there would need to be <br /> some kind of an agreement/payment. Mr. Darrow gave the applicants a design sheet on <br /> drainage. <br /> 3 <br /> I Mr. Karam and staff informed and discussed the Traffic Study with the applicants. <br /> Mr. Neely informed the applicants of the Traffic Mitigation Fees. <br /> Mr. Karam informed the applicants that the design of the water system must be a modular <br /> ' system. Mr. Stupi asked if they could annex into the water and sewer system. Ms. Jolley indicated to the applicants that <br /> this project does not satisfy the requirements for a Quarry Excavation permit. Mr. Martin <br /> reiterated that the project would need to be handled strictly as a quarry and that the project does <br /> not satisfy the minimum requirements for this location.
