• INTRODUCTION
Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Javier Gomez to
conduct a Nitrate Loading Study for the property located at 826 West Bowman Road,
French Camp, California. Mr. Gomez has indicated that he plans to construct a new
three-bedroom home on the Site; the property is currently vacant.
Because of concerns of nitrate leaching into ground water from septic systems, a nitrate
loading analysis was required by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department for approval of the proposed development. The study estimates the
potential concentration of percolating effluent produced by the proposed project over the
long term. Where percolating effluent leaches into the ground, ground-water quality
may be impacted to some degree should the effluent reach the aquifer.
The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Nitrate
Loading Study Requirements Checklist.
Site Description
The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 193-260-16. The parcel is 0.30
acres in size, and is located at 826 West Bowman Road, French Camp (Plate 1).
• The Site is currently vacant (Plate 2). Mr. Gomez indicated that a new three-bedroom
house, well, and septic system will be constructed on the Site.
• LOGE 1802 Page 1
