F
December 23,2005
NOA Project Number: E05174A
building associated with the proposed g p posed development require a new septic system, a satisfactory
percolation test or engineered design should be provided for that specific area.
}
Septic system sizing should follow the EHD's publication titled "Onsite Wastewater Disposal
Standards" or other approved engineered designs.
- v7.0 CONCLUSIONS
} In summary, theercolation test demonstrated that the soils
P of the area may be restrictive with
respect to percolation rate and difficulty of excavation of seepage pits where large cobble or gravel
exist. Any new septic system planned as part of the development should either have a satisfactory
percolation test or other percolation test with an engineered design to mitigate slow percolating soil.
No ground water was encountered in the 3.0 foot boring drilled on the property. The depth to
ground water is not shown on the county ground water map however it is estimated to be below 200
feet deep. The on-site water wells were tested for nitrate and DBCP. The result of the water sample
for nitrate and DBCP was not available at the due date of this report. The results will be sent to
i
SKS Enterprises Incorporated and the San Joaquin County EHD once they are sent to out office.
Please see the conclusions of the Nitrate Loading Study (Part II) for additional recommendations.
X7.1 Signatures
The signatures of the environmental professionals involved in the preparation of this report can be
found on the cover sheet at the front of this package.
I
+ v
8.0 LIMITATIONS
The conclusions of this report are based on the information provided regarding the existing and
proposed development, the use of the subject property, and the site conditions as they existed at the
time we excavated our test holes and performed the percolation tests. It was assumed that the test
holes and percolation test results are representative of the subsurface conditions in the general area.
i Our professional services were performed, our findings obtained, and our conclusions proposed in
accordance with generally accepted engineering principles and practices. This warranty is in lieu of
all other warranties either expressed or implied. Test findings and statements of professional
opinion do not constitute a guarantee or warranty, expressed or implied.
Jr
t
12
