f
 r
December
23, 2005
} NOA Project Number: E05174A
i/6.5 Percolation Test Procedure
 G5
A percolation test was conducted for the boring on December 20, 2005 in accordance with the
requirements of the EHD. A percolation test with a duration of four hours was performed. The last
'/z hour of the of the percolation test was observed by Ms. Lisa Medina, Senior Registered
Environmental Health Inspector, EHD.
Measurement of the water level during the percolation test was from a fixed reference point on the
p
E PVC casing using an electric well sounder with an depth accuracy of 1/100th foot. All tabulated
values on the field data sheet (appendix) are in decimal feet. After water drop was observed, the
hole was checked for refill. The readings were taken approximately every 30 minutes for a period of
four hours.
6.6 Percolation Test Form and Results
The completedercolation test form is included in the appendix of this re
p pp port.
A shallow percolation test is defined by the EHD as being between 36 and 42 inches in depth; a j
satisfactory percolation rate for a shallow test is less than or equal to 60 minutes per inch drop.
Details of the percolation test are summarized in Table 5.
3 Table 5.
Su Mary of Percolation Tests.
Test No., Percolation Percolation Rate Test Comment
Date Tested Test Depth(ft) (minutes/inch) Duration (see notes)
ti
P-1 shallow, 12-20-05 Unsatisfactory Result
+ APN 023-170-08 3.0 --- 4-hr.
