Approve the Revisions of Approved Actions application for Quarry Excavation No. QX-94-2 with
the Findings and Conditions of Approval in the staff report
i
II
Findings
1. The proposal is for the removal of regionally significant or scarce deposits of mineral resources and not
for the removal of prime farmland.
• The proposed revision does not change that this Finding can be made because th,e project
l is not considered a conversion of prime farmland. Following excavation, the site will be
returned to agricultural uses. The change in final slope will be. incorporated;` into the
i reclamation plan.
2. The proposed reclamation of the property upon completion of the excavation will leave the property in a
condition which will allow its reuse. fE
The proposed revision does not change that this Finding can be made because the
• rehabilitation plan approved for this quarry excavation will return the site to agriculture.
1 Issuance of the permit will not be significantly detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, or be
injurious to the property or improvements in the vicinity.
• Thero osed revision does not change that this Finding can be made because;the Initial
P P
Study prepared for this project did not identify any potentially detrimental health and safety
impacts and will not be injurious to the property or improvements in the` vicinity.
Kleinfelder, Inc., provided a slope stability analysis indicating a relatively highifactor of
safety for the proposed 2:1 reclaimed slope.
I
Y l
i
I
ii
ip
QX-94-21KRC Aggregates j
San Joaquin County page 4
Community Development
i
i
