Any past agricultural activities and the present use of septic systems in the area should
be considered potential ground-water contamination sources.
4.3 Water Sample Location
No wells exist on site. No well permits were found during a file review on February 15, 2007 at the C
EHD. No water sample wastaken or analyzed.
4.4 Water Sample Constituents
` No water sample was taken or analyzed for the subject property.
5.0 SOIL PROFILE AND GEOLOGIC INFORMATION
The Site is depicted on the USGS Geologic Maki of the San.Francisco-San Jose Quadrangle(1991) as within
the Quaternary Modesto Formation (Plate 7). These map units represent arkosic alluvium forming
Mokelumne River terraces, channel ridges and alluvial fans. The alluvium is a tan and light-gray
gravely sand, silt and clay except where derived from volcanic rocks when it is distinctly red and
black with minor brown clasts.
The surface and near surface soils located at Site are reported by the San Joaquin County Soil Survey to
E be composed of Urban Land and Hollenbeck silty clay, 0 to 2 percent slopes, (Plate 7) (USDA,
1992). Table 3 presents some selected properties of these soils:
Table 2.
Selected Soil Properties of the Surrounding Area
San oauin County Soil Survey Report.
Flo
Soil Name Depth(in) Unified Soil Classification Salinity Soil Reaction Septic tank
and Map mmhos pH absorption
FASymbol /cm fields
Hollenbeck 0-10 Silty clay;CH,CL <2 6.6-8.4 0.06-0.2
rl silty clay,o- 10-37 Clay,silty clay;CH,CL <2 6.68.4 0.0602
2%slopes, 37-42 Silty clay loam,clay loam;CL <2 6.6-8.4 0.2-0.6
173 42-60 Cemented
Note: The table descriptions do not necessarily reflect site-specific soil properties.
F" 5
lk
f
