McMahon : <br /> Caltrans has reviewed the Morada Meadows DEIR for a 36 unit single <br /> family subdivision located east of Route 99 north of Hammer Lane and <br /> offer the following comments : <br /> This project will not have significant traffic impacts on the transpor- 2 <br /> tation system in the area . Cumulative impacts from other developments will <br /> have significant impacts on Route 99 and the interchanges at Hammer Lane, <br /> Morada Lane and Eight Mile Road. A map showing the location of other <br />^ developments in the area should be provided. <br /> The traffic diagrams on Page 36 and 37 are not complete in that west <br /> bound traffic is not shown from the west frontage road nor from the east 3 <br /> frontage road . This should be provided in the FEIR. <br /> r <br /> Peak hour conditions for cumulative impacts should be shown on similar4 <br /> traffic diagrams of the Morada Lane and Eight Mile Road interchanges as <br /> r well as at Hammer Lane. <br /> r . <br /> Traffic mitigation of cumulative impacts may require extensive mod- <br /> ifications to the Hammer Lane, Morada Lane and Eight Mile Road interchanges . <br /> A benefit assessment district or other source of funding improvements at 5 <br /> these locations should be the responsibility of the developer and local <br /> government, not the State. <br /> We appreciate the opportuui-ty- to _comment on this project .
