The District is currently in the process of <br /> expanding its facilities to accommodate projected District-wide <br /> enrollment. The Lodi Unified School District has recently enacted <br /> legislation under AB 2926 which requires developer fees in the <br /> maximum amount of $1 . 50 per square foot of conditioned residential <br /> space to support school construction and reconstruction. <br /> Additionally, the District is involved in the State' s Leroy F. <br /> Greene/Purchase Program in which it is assessed a matching share j <br /> by the State equal to that which would be collected through the I <br /> Developer Fee process for residential , commercial and industrial <br /> construction. 20 i <br /> 2• Environmental Impacts <br /> The Lodi Unified School District uses a student generation <br /> figure of 1 . 08 students per newly constructed single-family <br /> residential unit. The breakdown of the <br /> follows: generation figure is as <br /> Grades K-6 . 68 students <br /> Grades 7-8 - . 15 students <br /> Grades 9-12 - .25 students <br /> Based on this student generation figure, the project <br /> proposed <br /> would generate a p p <br /> g approximately 39 new students, 68 percent of which <br /> would enter the District at the elementary level . Lodi Unified <br /> r School District representatives indicate that no new schools are <br /> planned for construction in. the project area, however, the <br /> District is moving forward with construction of elementary schools I <br /> and a high school which would indirectly affect the schools <br /> serving the proposed project as attendance boundaries are <br /> readjusted . The District indicates that due <br /> to present <br /> overcrowded conditions, every residential project is <br /> C" considered to have an effect on the District. <br /> Students from' the proposed project would be bussed to available <br /> classrooms throughout the District. The District also has an I <br /> equal loading policy which provides for equal housing <br /> opportunities on a District-wide basis. 21 <br /> 3.
