Suggested Mitigation Measures <br /> a. Although not required by City ordinance, automatic fire <br /> sprinklers should be provided in each unit as an added fare <br /> prevention measure if a community water system is not provided . <br /> Solid Waste <br /> 1 . Environmel3tal Setting <br /> Solid waste collection and disposal services in the project <br /> area are provided by the Sunset Disposal Company . All solid waste <br /> collected in the area is taken to the Lovelace Transfer Station on <br /> Lovelace Road , where it is partially recycled . This transfer <br /> station is owned and operated by San Joaquin County . Currently t+1 <br /> the capacity of this station is exceeded , but the County is <br /> planning to expand and possibly relocate the facility to meet <br /> future demand in the County . <br /> From the transfer station solid waste is hauled to the <br /> Foothill Landfill located in Linden . This landfill has a <br /> remaining capacity of 50+ years. 18 <br /> 2. Environmental Impacts <br /> The proposed project is expected to generate approximately <br /> 5. 5 tons per month (based on 3 . 3 pounds/person/day ) . <br /> Representatives of the Sunset Disposal Company anticipate no <br /> difficulty in providing services to the proposed project. The <br /> Foothill Landfill Company is expected to accommodate the projected <br /> volume of solid waste within its remaining capacity . 19 <br /> 3. Suggested Mitigatio-n Measures <br /> No mitigations are necessary. <br /> Schools <br /> 1 . Environmental Setting <br /> The .proposed project is located within the Lodi Unified <br /> School District. The District currently enrolls 20, 119 students <br /> in its elementary , middle and high schools and its projected <br /> enrollment for 1987/88 is 21 , 590 students. Students from the <br /> project area would attend Davis Elementary School , Morada Middle <br /> School and Tokay High School .
