File No. 20-2921-01 kn KLEfNFELDER
August 11, 1992
Page 2
• 8750 Canepa - August 11, 1982, septic tank, leach line (40 feet),
and sump pit installed due to bedroom addition
- August 2, 1991, old septic tank destroyed, new
tank and leach line (180 feet) installed
The permits reviewed in most cases do not indicate the reasons for additional leach line/sump
pit installation. Two of the permits involved well and septic system installation which generally
indicates new construction. Two of the permits involved replacing old septic tanks and
constructing new leach lines:which generally indicates improvements to an old system.or that,
there were additions to the residence which required a larger, updated system. One permit
involved a septic tank, leach line, and sump pit addition because of the addition of a bedroom
to the residence. The remaining two permits involved adding additional leach lines. These
additions could have been required because of additions to the residences or because the existing
system was not performing as required.
Although it appears that there may have been a few instances of septic system problems in the
area, it remains our opinion that provided the proposed septic systems for the subject property
are properly constructed per San Joaquin County requirements and the leach lines and/or sump
pits extend to the soil stratas where passing percolation tests were obtained, septic systems will
be suitable for the proposed development.
If you have any questions regarding this letter or the project please contact us.
Respectfully submitted,
KLEEOTLDER, INC.
Steven R.
