a
I
k'4 KLEINFELDER
An employee owned company
File No. 17284.G01
July 10, 2002
Mr. Richard Guerrero
k Golden Valley Roofing Company, Inc.
PO Box 30922
Stockton, CA 95213
l
Subject: SOILS SUITABILITY AND NITRATE LOADING STUDY
3540 EAST CARPENTER ROAD
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Guerrero:
Kleinfeider is pleased to present the results of our soil suitability and nitrate loading study for a
i proposed facility to be located at 3540 East Carpenter Road in Stockton, California. The purpose
of our study was to determine the suitability of the property for septic tank usage. The study was
performed in general accordance to the requirements of Section 9-10100© of San Joaquin
County Ordinance. The following includes background information regarding the proposed
development, present use of the site, and the groundwater depth in the project area. In addition,
discussions regarding our investigative procedures, the site conditions encountered during our
field exploration, and the results of percolation tests are presented. Finally, the results of our
nitrate loading calculations and project limitations are provided.
`r
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
On a preliminary basis, we understand the subject 2.26-acre project site will contain three li ht
commercial/warehouse buildings. The site is currently vacant. According to you, the buildings
j will have a total of about 8 to 12 a to ees, with about 5 to 8 of those employees being field
i personnel and usually not on site. None oft e buildings will have cafeteria facilities inside. At
your request, two locations were tested for suitability for se tic tank usage due to uncertainty of
the placement of the leach field.
We anticipate that waste disposal for the buildings will be provided by an individual on-site
sewage disposal system consisting of a septic tank/leach trench sewage disposal system.
GROUNDWATER DEPTH
During the time of our investigation, groundwater was not encountered.
