INTRODUCTION <br /> - I <br /> F. <br /> I <br /> Our office has been retained by DeGraff Development to conduct a Soil <br /> Suitability/Nitrate Loading Study for a parcel located at 5050 (a.k.a. 4900) East Carpenter Road <br /> near the intersection of Carpenter and Mariposa Roads, Stockton, California. The Assessor <br /> F Parcel Number(APN) is 179-060-03. The soil suitability study was conducted to determine if <br /> the area is suitable for a septic system and was performed according to the requirements of <br /> Section 9-1105.2(d) of San Joaquin County Development Title. The nitrate loading study was <br /> F conducted to determine the concentration of the combined effluent and rain fall percolate and it's <br /> potential impact on ground water. This report presents the results of our study. <br /> II. PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> f The property is 14.37 acres in size and is flat lying with a minimal surface slope of I%to <br /> the south. The proposed development plans include constructing a new metal building and other <br /> r- improvements for Reeve Trucking. A mobile home and existing septic system are currently <br /> Flocated on the site and are designated for removal. A new septic system is proposed for use with <br /> 22 employees (per day) at the proposed site ( Plate No. 1). <br /> III. PRESENT AND PAST USE OF THE SITE <br /> The subject property was utilized for agricultural purposes from at least as early as 1937, <br /> and probably much earlier, to as late as 1952. Between 1952 and 1963 portions of the existing <br /> structures were constructed. A vegetable brining operation existed between 1963 to 1987. <br /> i <br /> k <br />
