The total depth of the well is not precisely known, but when a new 1.5- <br /> horsepower, submersible pump was installed in the well on June 1, 1999, the depth of the <br /> well was estimated to be 74 ft. and, when the pump was not in operation, the depth to <br /> _ first water in the well was noted to be approximately 10 ft. The new pump was set at a <br /> depth of 64 ft. <br /> 8.3.2 Potable Water-supply Well at 24169 South Chrisman Road <br /> This well supplies potable water to the residence at 24169 Chrisman Road and to Central <br /> Valley Collision (formerly a wooden pallet manufacturing facility) at 24195 Chrisman <br /> Road. No well log is available. A new one-horsepower pump was set at a depth of 40 ft. <br /> in June 1995, at which time the depth to first water in the well was 9 ft. when the pump <br /> was not operating. <br /> 8.3.3 Potable Water-supMly Well at 7601 West Eleventh Street <br /> This 6-in. diameter well was completed on October 2, 2002. It will supply water to the <br /> commercial development currently under construction on the property at 7601 West <br /> Eleventh Street. The well boring was drilled to a total depth of 580 ft and the total depth <br /> of the completed well is 500 ft. The well casing is perforated between 470 ft and 500 ft. <br /> BGS and the annular space between the casing and the boring wall is sealed with <br /> Portland cement from the ground surface to a depth of 200 ft. (Note: There is a clerical <br /> error on the well log that cites the address as being 7600 West Eleventh Street. As stated <br /> here, it is, in fact, at 7601 West Eleventh Street.) <br /> 8.34 Potable Water-supply Well at 23901 South Chrisman Road <br /> .=< This well supplies potable water to the Suburban Propane facility at 23901 South <br /> Chrisman Road and to the commercial building at 7501 West Eleventh Street formerly <br /> occupied by the Fisco Farm and Home Store (Fisco)under a joint use agreement. No well <br /> log is available. A record of a pump repair (see Appendix D for copy of permit <br /> application) in March 1993 indicates that the casing diameter is 8 in. and the pump, <br /> which was replaced by Fisco in June 1995, is a one-horsepower unit. <br /> The manager of the Suburban Propane facility reports that the personnel at that site have <br /> i.: not used water from the well for many years because they suspected it was unsuitable for <br /> human consumption (Dap 2002). He also reported that, in the past, tests had been <br /> performed on water from the well, but no records of the tests could be found at Suburban <br /> Propane or at the SJCEHD. <br /> 8.3.5 Potable Water-soply Well at 23950 South Chrisman Road <br /> This 8-in. diameter well, which supplies potable water to the office building at 23950 <br /> Chrisman Road, was drilled on October 20, 1980. A copy of the well log is included in <br /> Appendix D. The depth of the boring was 345 ft., the well has a total depth of 325 ft., the <br /> casing is perforated at 297 ft to 325 ft. BGS, and the annular space between the casing <br /> SJC <br />
