The chapel location will be about
near the west side of Carrolton Road and almost V2 mile north of Highway 120.
The area lies in the southern part of San Joaquin County, in a rural area about
3 miles east of Escalon.
1.2 Proposed Development
The owner of the property is proposing to construct a small, 1,872 square-foot
chapel near the existing residence. The existing domestic water well will also
serve the chapel, but a new, dedicated septic sewage system will be constructed.
2.0 (SENT ND'P2.0 PRESENT ND'PAST USES OF THE SITE
F _--
The subject property i currently the site of a single rural residence. It appears
to have been originally constructed as a farm residence, but is currently in use
by the parish. The remainder of the parcel remains in agricultural use,
currently to raise corn. The residence is served by a dR_w31ic waiter wel and a
t
septic sewage system. The water well will also serve the new chapel. Based on
permit information, (see Section 3.1) the house dates from 1965.
This is a mostly rural area, notable for its almond and walnut orchards. Excluding
the church complex, adjacent and nearby parcels are in agricultural use and this use
includes farm-building complexes. There is also a short row of residential lots
immediately to the west of the church along Highway 120.
r I
F
F
FI
Foi
Fill
F
Ell 2937 Veneman Ave.,##B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
