Past Uses of the Site
Based on information reviewed for the Surface & Subsurface Contamination Report
(Live Oak, 2016), the Site has been used for orchard since 1955 or earlier. It appears
that the structures on the Site date to the 1940s.
Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage
Existing Septic System
According to Mr. Fondse, one septic system is currently located on the Site.
Proposed Septic System
Mr. Fondse indicated that no new construction is planned.
On-Site Septic Permit History
Live Oak searched the septic system permits on file at the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department; no septic permits were identified for the Site
address.
Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
To estimate the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic
systems located within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Aerial
imagery from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photograph was
assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that 21 or more
septic systems per square mile are present in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
The general area consists of orchards with scattered rural residences and agricultural
buildings.
Septic Permit History in the Vicinity
Based on a review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department for nearby properties, it appears that the septic systems in the area
utilize leach lines, leach lines with sumps, and filter beds. The septic permits can be
found in Appendix 4 of this report.
Expected On-Site Maximum Septic Tank Usage
Maximum expected septic usage on the Site would be from the existing home and a
potential second dwelling unit on the homesite parcel. No new residential construction
is planned.
LOGE 1618 Page 2
