SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY
Introduction
Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Danny Olmstead of
WDO, Inc. to conduct a Soil Suitability Study for the property located at 27945 South
Chrisman Road, Tracy, California (Plate 1).
The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for
use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of
Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development Code.
The formatting of the report has been designed to follow the recommendations of the
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil
Suitability Study Requirements Checklist.
Proposed Development
A minor subdivision is proposed to divide the Site into two parcels (Plate 2). Mr.
Olmstead indicated that he plans to build houses on the new lots.
Site Description
The Site consists of Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 248-080-04, approximately five
acres in size. It is located at 27945 South Chrisman Road, Tracy, California. The Site
is vacant land (Plate 3). No wells are located on the Site.
The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic
map, is approximately 110 to 120 feet above mean sea level (Plate 4). The Site is
relatively flat.
The San Joaquin County Community Development Department web site states that the
Site is zoned R-R, rural residential. This zoning designation "is intended to provide for
large lot rural homesites within or adjacent to existing Rural Communities. Lots will
generally have sufficient area to allow for individual water supply, sewage disposal, and
storm water drainage, but not to support significant commercial agriculture."
LOGE 1825 Page 1
