M
KLEINFELDER
File No. 20-3551-01
May 26, 1992
Mr. Bert Sandman
c/o A. Teichert & Son, Inc.
P.O. Box 15002
. Sacramento, CA 95851
Subject: ADDITIONAL SERVICES
PROPOSED SUBDIVISION ON NORTH CLEMENTS ROAD
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
Dear Mr. Sandman:
}
INTRODUCTION
This letter presents the results of additional services provided as
requested by San Joaquin County Environmental Health Services for
the subject subdivision. The proposed approximate 160-acre
subdivision will contain sixteen approximate 10-acre lots located
at 19977 through 20243 North Clements Road in San Joaquin County,
California. Reference is made to our septic system suitability
study report dated January 27, 1992 , which was prepared for the
subject subdivision.
Environmental Health Services personnel have expressed concern that
the installation of sixteen domestic water wells at the site could
cause excessive drawdown of the groundwater table. In addition,
they also requested that the existing on-site wells be sampled and
tested for general mineral content and PCB's.
WATER DRAWDOWN
In your letter dated April 17, 1992, you indicated that your family
acquired the ranch in 1956, at which time approximately 80 acres
were in irrigated pasture. over the succeeding thirty-two years of
your ownership, as much as 140 acres were irrigated in a single
year. We understand that the last season the ranch was irrigated
was in 1988 .
As indicated in your letter, typical annual irrigation consisted of
pumping approximately 600 gallons/minute, 20 hours/day, 6 days/week
for a six-month period. This averages to a little over 71, 000
gallons per day on an annual basis. We understand that during this
time period no significant drawdown of the groundwater table was
observed. i
Coppyyrt ht 1992 Kleinfelder, Inc.
KLEINFEEp R 2825 East Myrtle Street, Stockton, CA 95205 (209) 948-1345
