This location falls just outside of the 60dB CNEL high noise contours, as
shown on the enclosed map. The Airport Land Use Plan requires soundproofing of
homes within the 60dB noise contour, so that interior noise is reduced to 45dB and
35dB in sleeping areas.
While the property falls outside of the ALUC restricted zones, residents will still
experience significant single event noise disturbances clue to the property's location.
The area is subject to frequent overflight. The ALUC recommends that the applicant
adopt the following mitigations to reduce the impact P g g pact of these noise disturbances:
1. Soundproof homes so that the interior noise level is no higher than 45dB;
2. Provide an Avigation Easement in favor of San Joaquin County, to protect future
airport operations; and
3. Sign a Noise Disclosure form that will become part of the deed of each parcel.
Also, the ALUC recommends that prospective buyers of residences in this area be
informed of the proximity of the airport and the attendant noise disturbances.
In addition, the Airport Land Use Plan restricts the development of bodies of water
that may create a bird hazard to aircraft. Such bird hazards include: lakes, storm
drains and ponds.
Regional Transportation Planning Agency, Local Transportation Authority, Congestion Management Agency, Airport Land Use Commission
1860 E.
