KLE1 N FELDER
File No. 20-4684-01.GO1-
December 20, 2001
t
Mr. Philip Henry
P.O. Box 282
French Camp, CA 95231
i
Subject: SOILS SUITABILITY AND NITRATE LOADING STUD
PROPOSED HENRY RESIDENCE
10834 AND 1088 EAST COPPEROPOLIS ROAD
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA,
Dear Mr. Henry:
l
Kleinfeider is pleased to present the results of our soil suitability and nitrate loading study for the
subject residence to be located near Stockton, California. The purpose of our study was to
determine the suitability of the property for septic tank usage. The study was performed in
general accordance with the requirements of Section 9-10100© of San Joaquin County
Ordinance. The following includes background information regarding the proposed
development, present use of the site, and the historical groundwater depths in the project area. In
addition, discussions regarding our investigative procedures, the site conditions encountered
during our field exploration, and the results of percolation tests are presented. Finally, the results
of our nitrate loading calculations and report limitations are provided.
4
PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT
On a preliminary basis, we understand the subject 1-acre project site will contain a_single-family
residence. The property is approximately 149 feet wide (along Copperopolis Road) by 298 feet
long and extends to the south. We understand that a 3-bedroom, 2-bath residence will be
constructed on the southern %Z-acre parcel (10834 East Copperopolis Road). It is our
understanding that the two '/z-acre Parc_els are currently zoned rural commercial and the parcels
will be re-zoned to rural agricultural. At the time of our visit, the relatively level site had an
above ground sprinkler irrigation system and lawn/grass cover. A gravel road ran along the west
side of the site. A well/pump and 2 pine trees were located near the gravel road on 10818
Copperopolis Road (northern parcel). Wood fencing surrounded the parcels.
We anticipate that waste disposal for the residence will be provided by an individual on-site
sewage disposal system consisting of a septic tank/leach trench sewage disposal system.
December 20,2001
20-4684-01.G01/2011R1570 page l of
©2001 Kleinfelder,Inc.
Kl1011A' :1.07 1K _' 127' Eris mv'I li
