r
Former Chevron Station #9-4054
January 15, 1996
h
the sample collected from well KF-3.
Each well was constructed with 4-inch diameter PVC to approximately 30 feet bsg. The screen interval
consisted of 0.020 inch slots and extended from approximately 15 to 30 feet bsg for each well.
In March 1995, the wells were monitored and sampled. Depth to groundwater was approximately 16 feet
bsg (3 feet higher than the December 1994 monitoring data). The gradient was 0.003 and the flow
direction had shifted to the southeast (was to the east during the December I994 monitoring event).
Analytical results indicated that all the wells contained detectable concentrations of TPHg and BTEX.
The TPHg concentrations ranged from 8,100 to 20,000 ppb and the benzene concentrations from 2,000
to 2,500 ppb. The highest concentrations were detected in the sample collected from well KF-3.
Upgradient Environmental Consultants has recommended additionalwells be installed at the site in an
attempt to delineate hydrocarbon-impacted groundwater. It is our understanding that additional work has
not been performed at the site to date.
BOULEVARD AUTO SITE
The following information for this site was obtained from Mr. Michael Infurna of the San Joaquin County
Public Health Services (SJCPHS). To date there has not been any environmental work performed at the
site. SJCPHS has requested a work plan for a subsurface investigation be submitted their office.
Two USTs were removed from the Boulevard Auto site (date unknown). These USTs appeared to be in
poor condition upon removal. A sheen was present on water within the UST pit. According to SJCPHS,
there is not any other information pertaining to this site.
At Chevron's request, G-R can submit the required application to the SJCPHS for further review of these
sites. If you should have any questions please call our office at (510) 551-7555.
Sincerely,
Gettler-Ryan Inc.
4Q
egGurss
Project Manager
Attachment: Copy of Fourth Quarter Report, Kwikee Foods (dated January 15, 1995)
Copy of First Quarter Report, Kwikee Foods (dated April 21, 1995)
CH94054.LTZ 2
