FIRST QUARTER REPORT <br /> + KWIKEE FOODS <br /> 2081 Country Club Avenue <br /> Stockton, California <br /> April 21, 1995 <br /> EXECUTIVE SUMMARY <br /> Upgradient Environmental Consultants performed quarterly monitoring <br /> activities at the Kwikee Foods Mart on March 20, 1995 . Three <br /> groundwater wells were monitored and sampled under the supervision <br /> of Mr. Michael Infurna of San Joaquin County Public Health j <br /> Services, Environmental Health Divison. - <br /> i <br /> A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to <br /> groundwater in each well . The depth ranged from 15 . 55 to 15 . 90 <br /> feet. Between 10 and 20 gallons of water were purged from each <br /> well, and pH :and other parameters were measured during purging. The , <br /> purged water: is stored in 55-gallon drums on site. <br /> Groundwater samples were collected in disposable plastic bailers . <br /> Two 40-m1 vials were collected from each well for , laboratory <br /> analysis . The samples were analyzed for total petroleum <br /> s <br /> hydrocarbons as gasoline and BTE&X. <br /> Elevated concentrations of hydrocarbons were measured in all wells, <br /> confirming the results obtained during the previous monitoring <br /> event in December, 1994 . Upgradient recommends further drilling and. ' <br /> monitoring to determine the extent of contamination prior to <br /> considering a remediation plan. ' <br /> i <br /> 1 .0 INTRODUCTION <br /> Upgradient Environmental Consultants (Upgradient) is under contract <br /> to Peters' Check Cashing to perform quarterly monitoring of , <br /> groundwater contamination at the Kwikee Foods 'Mart on Country Club <br /> Avenue in Stockton, California.
