Appendix A. Contact <br /> U S Alert to check on placement of underground utilities. JPCA <br /> shall request that the present owner/tenant identify any on-site <br /> utilities that they are aware of on the property. Obtain a <br /> permit from San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br /> (SJCEHD) to drill three borings which will be converted into <br /> wells. <br /> 2) Notify the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division <br /> (SJCEHD) 48 hours prior to initiation of field work. <br /> 3) Advance three boring to an approximate depth of 20 ft or ten <br /> feet into the saturated zone whichever occurs first, using a C- <br /> 57 licensed driller and 8-inch diameter hollow-stem augers at <br /> the approximate locations as shown in Figure 2. Construct three <br /> monitoring wells with 2" diameter casing with the bottom 15 feet <br /> of the well constructed of 0.01" slotted casing. Sand pack will <br /> extend from the bottom of the well. toward grade for 17 feet, then <br /> a two foot Bentonite seal will be completed and the remaining <br /> annulus will ba grout filled to grade. A traffic proof well <br /> cover or standpipe will complete the well construction. A <br /> typical well is shown in Appendix B. <br /> 4) Collect soil samples at each 5 ft level interval or at <br /> significant changes in lithology commencing at a depth of five <br /> feet, using a split spoon tube sampler loaded with pre-cleaned <br /> brass tubes. A maximum of 6 soil samples are anticipated to be <br /> collected. <br /> 5) Sampling equipment will be decontaminated using tri-sodium <br /> phosphate solution (TSP) and twice rinsed with the 1pvt rinse <br /> using distilled water prior to sampling. <br /> 6) Soil samples collected in the lowest brass liner will be <br /> preserved by covering both ends with Teflon tape, capping with <br />
