Whilethe data is spo0y
for the site, there are two Jmown potential off-ate aotuces, the proximity of the domem well to the
former tank pits could act as a partial conduit to the deeper aquifa and existing water quality and
therefore should he chocked. State and local databases for leaking underground fast tank sites will be
searched for listed sites within one half mile and, if indicated, assessment reports for these sites will be
reviewed for chemical and bydro geological data that may influence on-site assessment of groundwater
and streamline the well survey task since those sites have uodarbtedly been required to conduct,a well
survey also. This milor mauum will then be used to judge site waditioas and form a plan for site closme
or further work if required
WORKPLAN
PHASE ONE
State Fund Aaalicatim
Assist property owner with application for reimbtursemeot of clean up coo. consistent with Fund
regrtirements.
Wen souev
Coach= a sunny of regulatoty databases for wells as required In addition, review databases for listed
sites within% mile no review records of that site withio 2000 Seel that may contain information of other
wells
Domestic Well Samonne
The domestic well will be saunpled using the existing pumping equipment in the well. Depth to
groundwater measurements will be attempted and measured to the n MIXTA ate-tae Nmdredth of one foot.
As the purge volume is removed. a measurement of pH, doctrinal eonducuvily and teuu>pe:ature will be
recorded prior to sampling The sample will be carefully collected and poured into the ap{xopriate
laboratory prepared container with minimum cavitation. Each water sample will be labeled, logged onto a
c ham-ofcusso*form,and placed in a drilled ice chest. Z
Exploratory Barron B
Up to six exploratory borings will be drilled at the site (Figure . The borings will be positioned in
a anus distribution of the coatamiaauds in sail andgromdwater/ the tank pits, and two borings placed
nti
at an assumed up gradient position to the two poteal oJi L sauces and two borings placed in tt
assumed down gradient position of the two former tank pits. Drilling and well installation permits will be
secured from PHS-EHD.and all utilities will be cleared prior to doing the fieldwndk
