(RESNA) to the California Regional Water
Quality Control Board (RWQCB). The correspondence requested the approval of the RWQCB
to transport stockpiled soil from Western Stone Products' (WSP's) Tracy facility in San Joaquin
County to their Hughson facility in Stanislaus County to be used as roadbase. ; There is
approximately 375 to 400 cubic yards of soil stockpiled on-site from the excavation of soil in
the vicinity of a former diesel tank pit.
During our conversation you requested more information regarding the disposal and transport
_ of the soil. The following paragraph's provide RESNA's_response to the RWQCB's request for
information. .
0 The soil was analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHD) and benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) only. There were no historical activities
recorded at the site that would indicate that any other constituents would be present in
the soil.
• WSP will be filing an application for reimbursement of funds from the Underground
Storage Tank Cleanup Fund.
WP.70 s.rrn.
