Soil & Groundwater Investigation <br /> 2. Groundwater Monitoring <br /> 3. Soil Vapor Extraction Pilot Study <br /> 4. Excavation Backfill & Soil Stockpile Disposal <br /> + The goal of this work is to further characterize the site to: <br /> • Evaluate the lateral and vertical extent of soil and groundwater contamination. <br /> • Evaluate the feasibility of performing soil vapor extraction rernediation (SVE). <br /> Several aspects of this site dictates certain work tasks to be performed and the schedule of work <br /> to be performed: <br /> • This property is located on the junction of Hwy 120, McHenry Ave., and Escalon-Ballota <br /> Road. Hwy 120 boarders the north and east sides of the property. <br /> • All three of these roads are currently under reconstruction, including widening, rerouting, <br /> new curb and cutters, and complete resurfacing. <br /> • Some of the wells proposed in the attached work plan will be installed in the new roadway. <br /> Therefore, these wells will need to be drilled ASAP and be connected via piping system for <br /> use in the SVE feasibility study. <br /> • The closetWdrinking water well located to the northeast and is used by the Escalon High <br /> School. The distance to this well has not been determined. <br /> Site Summary <br /> The site is located at 1306 Escalon Ave, Escalon, California in the Highway 120/McHenry <br /> Avenue Improvement Project. Figure 1 is a location map and Figure 2 is a site map. This <br /> property was previously an Arco Gas and Mini Mart. <br />
