GEO-PHASE
ENVIRONMENTAL
November 20, 2013
GPE Project No.:670.I B
Mr. James Ross
Delta Buildings
22769 N. Bender Road
Acampo, CA 95220
Re: 2nd Addendum- Soil Suitability and Nitrate Loading Study
STAMA WINERY, 17521 DAVIS RD., LODI,CA
(APN 025-160.12)
Dear Mr. Ross:
Reference is made to our Soil Suitability and Nitrate Loading Study dated July 22, 2013 and
an addendum dated November 6, 2013. The addendum was prepared in fulfillment of a
request by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department to recalculate the
nitrate loading based on a projected nitrate effluent load for employees of at least 80 mg/L
rather than the 60 mg/L that was used in the original report. Since then, the agency has also
requested that the calculations be revised to reflect waste volume for the caretaker residence
assuming 2 resident per bedroom. In addition the agency asked that the per/resident effluent
volume be normalized to conform with other recent nitrate loading reports. This resulted in
changing the previous 60 gallons per resident per day assumption to 50 gallons. These
change also require that the nitrate load be reconsidered.
The Section headings in the attached addendum correspond with those in the original report.
The changes from the original report and the fust addendum are highlight by a blue font color.
Respectfully submitted,
Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
Stephen M. Lankford
President
Enclosure
CC: San Joaquin County EHD
2937 Veneman Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc. Phone:
(209 569-953
Modesto,CA 95356
