GEO-PHASE
ENVIRONMENTAL
2nd REPORT ADDENDUM
Soil Suitability and Nitrate Loading Study
STAMA WINERY, 17521 DAVIS RD., LODI, CA
(APN 025.160-12)
(PA-1100168)
GPE Project No.670.1B
November 20,2013
3.3 Existing and Proposed Septic System Usage
Previously, it was assumed that a total of 5 residents would each produce 60 gallons of waste
per day. Since the caretaker residence has three bedrooms, we are now assuming that 6
resident will each produce 50 gallons per day. The following table summarizes revised
estimates of maximum daily septic sewage flow:
Personnel Number Flow Rate Total Daily Flow
Caretaker Residence 6 50 GPD per Person 300 GPD
Full Time Employees 4 15 GPD per Person 60 GPD
Part Time Employees* 5 8 GPD per Person 40 GPD
Tasting Room Visitors•• 200 4 GPD 800 GPD
Marketin Meetin ••• 150 8 GPD per Person 1,200 GPD
Commercial Kitchen 150 3 GPD per person for 8 events 425 GPD
TOTAL MAX 91AILY USE 2,825 GPD
• Assumes part timers work approx.half time.
•• Assumes 2 restroom visits each day at 2 gals.per use for a maximum of 100 customers.
'•• Assumes 4 restroom visits each day per person at 2 gals.per use.
The change in total residents from 5 to 6 combined combine with a reduction in daily per
capita volume from 60 to 50 gallons results in no net change in the total residential effluent
volume. The total residential daily waste volume remains unchanged at 300 gallons.
Given that there is no net change in waste volume, the nitrate load will also be unchanged and
the calculations and the conclusions contained within the first addendum remain the same.
2937 Veneman Ave.,#8240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
