2.2 Proposed Development
Ms. Martins proposes to divide a homesite parcel from the remainder of the Site; the
remainder will be sold.
2.3 Topography
A recent U.S. Geological Survey 7.5-minute topographic map was obtained from the
San Joaquin County District Viewer. In the map, the Site is depicted as open,
agricultural land with two structures near its southeast corner. The property is
approximately five to ten feet above mean sea level and is relatively flat. Surrounding
properties are shown to be open agricultural land with occasional building clusters. This
map is included as Plate 3 in Appendix 1.
3.0 HISTORICAL RESEARCH
3.1 Aerial Photographs
Live Oak reviewed aerial photographs of the Site provided by the San Joaquin County
Surveyor's Office in Stockton, California. The available photographs were dated 1940,
1952, 1963, and 1975. Two additional photographs, dated October 1998 and March
2008, were obtained from the San Joaquin County District Viewer.
In the 1940 photo, the Site appears to be used for irrigated agriculture. Two or more
structures are present at the southeast corner of the Site. Three irrigation canals cross
the Site. Surrounding properties appear to be agricultural with scattered rural
residences.
In the 1952, 1963, and 1975 photos, no significant changes are apparent.
In the 1998 photo, it appears that one of the structures has been removed from the Site,
and a new structure can be seen. A new rural residence can be seen to the southwest
of the Site. No other significant changes are apparent.
In the 2008 photo, a new, large building can be seen to the west of the Site. No other
significant changes are apparent.
These photos are included in Appendix 3 of this report.
LOGE 1308 Page 2
