SITE AND VICINITY GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS <br /> The subject property is located within an agricultural area of unincorporated San Joaquin <br /> County, southeast of the City of Tracy, California. Figure 1 shows the setting of the subject <br /> property (7.5 Minute United States Geological Survey [USGS] Topographic Series, <br /> VERNAL, California) and prominent features on the subject property are depicted in the <br /> site plan provided as Figure 2. Photographs of the subject property are provided in <br /> Appendix A. <br /> 2.3. CURRENT USE OF PROPERTY <br /> Five-acres of the property is currently utilized residentially, with the remaining acreage <br /> z seasonally utilized agriculturally for the cultivation of row crops (e.g., oats). At the time of <br /> the site reconnaissance, the agricultural field was tilled, dry land. <br /> 3.0. REGIONAL GEOLOGIC/HYDROGEOLOGIC SETTING <br /> Geology and The subject property is situated within the Great Valley Geomorphic Province <br /> Hydrology of California, a large, elongate, northwest-trending, asymmetric structural <br /> trough. The Great Valley Province has been filled with thick sequences of <br /> sediment ranging in age from Jurassic to Recent, creating a nearly flat-lying <br /> alluvial plain that extends from the Tehachapi Mountains in the south to the <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br />
