1
F 5.3 Description of soil lithology as noted from test pit by appropriate professional using
industry standard protocol: The soil in this area is classified as Archerdale Clay Loam and 3
Cogna Loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, California as provided by the
United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service.
5.4 Discussion of soil lithology as related to future onsite septic uses: The soil in this area is
classified as Archerdale Loam and Cogna Loam as stated in the Soil Survey of San Joaquin County, /
California as provided by the United States Department of Agriculture, Soil Conservation Service.
The Archerdale Loam and Cogna Loam have a moderate permeability thus the percolation rate was
36-50 min/inch. Any future onsite septic system would perform adequately. (See Appendix).
6.0 PERCOLATION TEST INFORMATION SECTION
6.1 Site Map Showing the location, with concise and accurate dimensions of the percolation / !
y test holes on the parcel: See Appendix. 4 J
6.2 The Minimum Number of Shallow and Deep Percolation Tests was Performed for Each
Parcel: Three shallow percolation test holes were prepared on the three proposed parcels.
6.3 Description of the Date, Time and Protocol Used to Prepare the Test Hole,Including
Depth and Dimensions of Hole,Preparation of Hole, and Depth of Water Used to Presoak
(Minimum 12 Inches): The shallow test hole was excavated to a depth of 42 inches and
5 inches in diameter and backfilled with 2 inches of"pea gravel" in accordance with County
Standards. The shallow holes were prepared by Mike Toy on September 28, 2010 at 7:00 a.m.
On September 29, 2010 at 7:30 a.m. the 24 hour presoak period was started. The holes were filled
with 12 inches of water over the gravel at this time. -
l ;
6.4 Description of the Date,Time and Condition of the Test Hole After the 24-Hour Soak
Period (Hole Still Intact,Hole Dry,Depth to Water Remaining in Hole,Etc.): On
t y September 30, 2010 at 5:00 a.m. the shallow test holes were dry. Six inches of water was added
to each hole and the holes were deemed suitable to continue. The shallow test passed the minimum
County requirements.
6.5 The Test Conformed to San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02 (Correct Depth, diameter,
k 211. gravel,6" Water Refill, Correct Readings Recorded): The percolation test conformed to
San Joaquin County Policy EHD 02-02.
i
6.6 Complete Percolation Test Form (Including Readings)Was Provided With REHS
I
Verification Signature.
