PA-1300121 OF RAM KISHORE <br /> SHASTRI (APN: 059-140-23) (ADDRESS: 3885 E. EIGHT MILE ROAD. <br /> LODI) <br /> The applicant has submitted the above referenced Use Permit application for a religious <br /> assembly facility for a maximum of 25 members. The project includes converting an <br /> existing 864 square foot workshop building into a prayer hall. (Use Type: Religious <br /> Assembly - Neighborhood) <br /> The project site is located on the north side of Eight Mile Road, 269 feet east of Micke <br /> Grove Road, Lodi. <br /> The property has a General Plan designation of A/L (Limited Agriculture) and is zoned <br /> AL-5 (Limited Agriculture, 5-acre minimum). <br /> The Community Development Department has reviewed the proposed Use Permit <br /> application and offers the following comments: <br /> Background <br /> On June 11, 2009, the Community Development Department opened Enforcement Case <br /> No. EN-0900346 for the construction of a workshop building without the benefit of <br /> required permits. The applicant obtained a building permit for the workshop building (BP- <br /> 0902692). On November 17, 2011, the Community Development Department opened <br /> Enforcement Case No. EN-1100592 for converting the workshop building into a prayer hall <br /> and operating a religious assembly facility without the benefit of required permits. The <br /> applicant ceased operations and the enforcement case was closed on June 20, 2011 <br /> Since that time, the applicant decided to propose a religious assembly facility at the <br /> subject parcel and applied for Use Permit application No. PA-1300121 on July 16, 2013. <br /> Facility Operations <br /> The applicant stated the hours of operation for the religious assembly facility are daily from <br /> 9 a.m. until 10 p m. The applicant must provide further detail on the religious assembly <br />
